Course Content

Day 1 — Theory
Foundational knowledge and system understanding
  • Introduction to Solar PV
  • Solar PV system types (Grid-Tied, Hybrid and Off-Grid)
  • Solar panels, inverters and batteries
  • Electrical fundamentals (AC/DC, voltage, current and power)
  • Reading basic electrical diagrams
  • Safety and PPE
  • South African installation best practices

Learners are assessed through a practical installation assessment and a short theory quiz.
