This practical short course introduces participants to the fundamentals of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. It combines classroom learning with hands-on installation and testing, providing learners with the confidence to understand and assist with residential solar PV installations.

- Explain how solar PV systems work.
- Identify the main components of a solar PV system.
- Assist with the installation of a residential solar PV system.
- Perform basic commissioning and testing.
- Apply safe working practices.
- Identify common installation faults.
Assessment & Certification
Learners are assessed through a practical installation assessment and a short theory quiz.
Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a StoneGrid Engineering Certificate of Completion – Practical Solar PV Installation Fundamentals.
